We strive to make your movie going experience as enjoyable as possible. A motion picture production takes an extraordinary amount of work from hundreds of people both on set and in post production.
The most common nuisances that upset people the most are:
Cell phone use, talking or texting
Visiting or talking during film
Noisy or disruptive kids
Constant in and out of the auditoriums
The person behind you with their feet propped up on the seat next to your head
Walking out the fire exit during a movie
These behaviors will ruin most peoples experience, something they have paid money to enjoy, so we ask that everyone be courteous of those around them when watching a movie at Hometown Cinemas.
We love all our customers and take the movie going experience very seriously. Please alert the manager or an employee if you are disturbed by any of these rude behaviors, we will take immediate action.
A voluntary system not enforced by law, it is one of the various motion picture rating systems used to help parents decide what movies are appropriate for their children. In the U.S., the MPAA's rating systems are the most-regonized guide for parents regarding the content of movies. Theatre owners voluntarily agree to enforce corporate film ratings as determined by the MPAA. Hometown Cinemas abides by this policy and we do our best to enforce the rating system, particularly the Rated R movies. Parents please understand we are not baby sitters nor are we trying to ruin your night by not allowing your young teenager to see a Rated R film by themselves or with their underage friends. Please save the drama for acting class, this policy has been in effect nationwide for over 40 years.
What the ratings mean:
Rated G: General Audiences - All ages admitted
Rated PG: Parental Guidance Suggested - Some material may not be suitable for children
Rated PG-13: Parents Strongly Cautioned - Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13
Rated R: Restricted - Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian
Hometown Cinemas does not show NC-17 films.
